hey
visited pearlyn at kk with evan. she's looking good though im sure it's still painful. she spent her time watching tv programmes like bob the builder and barney [squeals] etc. i think i have a cute mortal. she should be home already since it's evening.
went to tecman after that. after saving up, i bought mere christianity [the last book left on the shelf] and miracles by cs lewis. im gonna start saving up for screwtape letters. nelson wanted to give me his book since i liked it a lot and i dont mind 2nd hand books. but i told him that i would buy it myself. hoho. what peiling says she will do. yay i can return him his books this sunday.
walked around in bugis later on by myself. felt pretty lonely but didnt know who to call since i didnt want to bother anyone. took the mrt back to paya lebar later on and what i saw on the mrt really shocked me.
there was this mentally disadvantaged guy walking along the mrt. and he tripped over this group of boys who looked about 12 years old. and he felt flat on his face and the boys started laughing at him and making fun of him and calling him names. i dont think he really understood what they were saying. but i did. and i was pissed. so i gave them my cold dao stare. they caught my stare and whispered among themselves and stopped. peiling's stare is powerful.
later on this lady with a baby in the pram came in. the baby was pretty cute and the guy was looking at the baby and smiling. and the baby's rattle dropped on the floor so he helped to pick it up and the lady glared at him and snatched it away from him. i was like "what?!" i felt indignant.
seeing him reminded me of p4. when they selected some people to go to APSN to help out and i was one of them. at first i was rather hesistant because i had not really been in direct contact with any of those kids. but after i went there, it was like i enjoyed going there and looked forward to going there.
they are innocent. they are simple-minded. when they smile at you, their smile may not be the prettiest, it may not be the nicest. but it's genuine, it comes from deep within them, it's not an act, it's not a facade. they dont harbour evil thoughts, they dont put on a false front.
it's not like others, they give you big grins. but beneath all those layers lies a hand clutching a dagger, waiting to stab you when you let your guard down.
and i dont know but it's painful just to see people look down on them. to see people laugh at them. is it their fault that they are not exactly like you?
what have they done to make you shun them? what have they done to make you laugh at them? what have they done to make you look down on them? let me tell you. they have not done anything.
you think you are where you are today because of what youve done? you think you are where you are today because of who you are? it's time for a reality check. you are utterly wrong. it is by God's grace that you are where you are today.
so tell me
WHAT RIGHT DO YOU HAVE TO LAUGH AT THEM HUH.
WHAT RIGHT DO YOU HAVE TO LOOK DOWN ON THEM.
WHAT RIGHT DO YOU HAVE.
TELL ME WHAT RIGHT DO YOU HAVE.
let me tell you this straight in the face.
if you laugh at them. if you look down on them. no matter how high up you are. no matter how great you are.
i despise you. get it, i despise you.
if you laugh at them. if you look down on them. so what if you look the same as most people. so what if your mentality is the same as most people. so what huh.
i despise you. get it, i despise you.
all you need to do is look inside them and you will realise
how shallow you are.
just how shallow you are.
just how shallow you are.
just how shallow you are.
simplicity.
